Brand expands protein-forward innovation beyond award-winning Protein Pita Chips
NEW YORK, N.Y. (June 10, 2026) — Freekeh Harvest®, maker of the award-winning Freekeh Harvest® Protein Pita Chips, will debut Freekeh Harvest® Protein Pizza at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, June 28–30, at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Attendees can visit Booth 2369 to sample the brand’s newest offering and learn more about its protein-rich innovation pipeline.
Inspired by her global travels and the role freekeh plays as a staple of Mediterranean cuisine, founder Leslie Touma set out to bring freekeh to U.S. consumers in the form of delicious, protein-rich snacks designed for a healthy lifestyle.
Touma and her team—including Michelin-starred Chef Michael Fusano and food scientist and wheat specialist Mike Adams—developed the brand’s Freekeh Harvest® Protein Pita Chips and its new Protein Pizza offering, building on freekeh’s signature roasted flavor and nutritional profile.
